Music Galore!
Good Shepherd students to regale parents with a music extravaganza tonight. The students have worked hard to prepare for tonight's music fare. Sweet sounds will emanate from the kids to the, I am sure, delight of the audience. A rumor has it that some of the kids will dress in the attire of a polka band and play a few tunes. Another rumor is that this has been perpetrated my Mr. Diaz. Whatever the story, we are sure that your eardrums will never be the same.

Kids Plan For Musicfest!
The Good Shepherd School's Annual Concert is April 29 at 6:30 pm. The Knights of Columbus Hall will be the venue for this musical whimsy. Rumor has it that the seventh and eighth grades will sing a tribute to the talents of Tonto, Frankstein, and Tarzan. Many of us can remember their special appearances on Saturday Night Live and the unique interpretive songs that the trio sang. Apparently the kids are as excited as Tonto, Frankenstein, and Tarzan. Watch for them on April 29th!

8th Grade Day Rescheduled

Tests Completed
The Social Studies test did not go well. Two did well enough, while the rest suffered. Additions were made for notes, but it was easy to tell that many students do not put time into studying. This is why so many of the students to the left look so glum.Within the next few days the Science test will be returned. The teacher will promise to provide photos.

It's Alive!
For some the 8/7th Science grade is near death, for others hale and hardy. Tomorrow is a test on chapter 4 in the "From Bacteria To Plant" books. This will not be an easy test, but review sheets have been provided. There seems to be an ongoing problem with reviews. Several of the 8th & 7th grade students like to talk while I am conducting a review. Unfortunately, this makes it a dire situation for everyone.
Each student will receive credit for notes (15 pts.) and 30 pts. for those who score a 90% or higher. Time in class is given.
Will there be life in the Science grade after this? Only preparation and time will tell.

Tests!
Even the prayers of the late Holy Father may not help. Tomorrow, the 7th & 8th graders will have a Social Studies Test. I, once again, quit the review due to talking. Those students who were paying attention will get extra points, but I don't intend to make the test easy. What I hear from all the noise is that the review is not necessary, we know it. Wednesday is the Science test. Let us hope that the Science review will proceed at a better and quieter pace than today. John Paull II pray for them.

Party's Over
The trip to Bounce U was a good time. The kids all seemed to enjoy the experience. Our thanks to Home & School for sponsoring the day. The classes are all engaged in planting seeds in small pods, watering them, and using journals to note the plant's progress. Mrs. Flurry came in for the upper grades to give them some help and information about the plants and their care. We will soon transplant them to the Rosary Garden. Our hope is that the kindergarten students will help.
The 8th grade trip is set for Friday, April 18. The itinerary includes the City Museum, Lunch, and the NASCAR Entertainment Center. The time will coincide with our school day. Mr. Stefan is driving.
The 7th grade will spend the day at St. Pius X High School. This is tentative, though. Arrangements will be firmed up by early next week.
